Terms of Service

Effective September 2, 2026. Operated by Project Carbon Fiber LLC.

These terms are the agreement between you and Project Carbon Fiber LLC for use of The Job Hunt. By creating an account or joining the alpha waitlist, you accept them.

1. What the service does

The Job Hunt tailors your resume to a specific job description, grades how well it matches applicant tracking system criteria, drafts a matching cover letter, and helps you find and contact relevant people at the employer. It is a drafting and analysis tool. It does not submit applications on your behalf.

Separately, Project Carbon Fiber LLC operates an internal tool that publishes our own content to our own social media accounts, including through YouTube API Services and the TikTok Content Posting API. It is not available to users of The Job Hunt and processes none of your data. Our use of those APIs, and how to revoke it, is described in our Privacy Policy.

2. Your account

• You must be at least 16 and provide accurate registration details.
• You are responsible for activity under your account and for keeping your credentials secure.
• One account per person. Do not share logins.

3. Your content stays yours

You keep all rights to your resume, your profile, and the documents generated from them. You grant us only the licence needed to run the service for you: to store your content, send it to the processors named in our Privacy Policy, and generate documents at your request. We do not use your content to train AI models, and we do not sell it.

You confirm the content you upload is yours to upload and is accurate. You are responsible for what your resume claims.

4. What AI output is, and is not

This is the most important section, so it is plain: every document this service generates is a draft you must read before you use it.

• AI models can produce text that is wrong, awkward, or subtly misstates your experience. We build in guardrails against invented employers, titles, dates, and metrics, but no guardrail is perfect.
• ATS scores and letter grades are our own estimate from the job description text. They are not produced by, endorsed by, or validated against any real applicant tracking system, and a high grade is not a prediction that you will be interviewed or hired.
• We make no guarantee about interviews, offers, or any employment outcome.
• You are solely responsible for anything you send to an employer. Submitting a document that misrepresents your background is your risk, not ours.

5. Contacting recruiters responsibly

The outreach feature surfaces business contact details for people at the employer you are applying to and drafts messages to them. In using it you agree to:

• Contact them only about a genuine job opportunity you are pursuing.
• Send nothing bulk, automated, or unsolicited beyond a professional approach, and stop contacting anyone who asks you to.
• Never use these details for marketing, resale, harassment, or any purpose unrelated to your own application, and obey the anti-spam and data protection laws that apply to you.

Misuse of contact data will end your access immediately.

6. Acceptable use

Do not: attempt to break, overload, or reverse engineer the service; scrape it; resell it; use it to create content that is unlawful, fraudulent, or impersonates someone else; or attempt to reach another user's data.

7. Plans, credits, and payment

The Job Hunt has a free tier and paid weekly subscriptions. The free tier includes a monthly credit allowance; the Starter and Pro plans include a larger weekly allowance, and Pro additionally unlocks cover letters and recruiter outreach. Credits are consumed by AI actions (tailoring, cover letters, outreach, and edits), and the cost of each action is shown before you spend it. Current prices are shown on our pricing page and at checkout.

• Payments are processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your full card number.
• Paid plans renew automatically each week until you cancel. You can cancel any time from the billing portal; your access and remaining credits continue until the end of the period you have already paid for, and you are not billed again after that.
• Credits do not roll over between periods and used credits are not refundable, but if an AI action fails to produce a result the credits it spent are returned to you automatically.
• We give existing subscribers notice by email before any price increase, and no one is charged a new or higher amount without agreeing first.

8. Availability

The service is provided as is, without warranty of any kind. It is in active development: features change, interruptions happen, and we offer no uptime commitment. Keep your own copies of anything you rely on. You can export everything at any time from Settings → Data.

9. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Project Carbon Fiber LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, or for lost opportunities, lost employment, or lost profits arising from your use of the service. Where liability cannot be excluded, it is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months or one hundred US dollars. Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.

10. Ending the agreement

• You can delete your account at any time in Settings → Data. On deletion we immediately cancel any active subscription and permanently remove the contact details of third parties you looked up; your own account data is then retained, inaccessible, for up to 12 months so you can restore the account by signing back in and so we can prevent repeat-signup abuse, after which it is permanently purged. • We may suspend or end access for breach of these terms, and will tell you why unless prevented by law.
• Sections 3, 4, 9, and 11 survive termination.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict of law rules. Disputes will be brought in the state or federal courts located in Cleveland County, North Carolina, except where your local consumer law gives you the right to bring proceedings elsewhere.

12. Changes

We update the effective date above when these terms change, and email registered users before a material change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the revised terms.
